Dubai has a subtropical climate. If you want it to be cooler during your visit then October to April is for you with temperatures ranging from 25°-35°C. You will need a Visa to enter the UAE if you have an Indian passport. Handwritten passports are no longer accepted. There are also different regulations depending on the length and type of your Dubai visit. If you are there during Ramadan then you will be expected to follow the rules which are that smoking, eating and drinking in public are not permitted. Drinking alcohol in the UAE has very strict regulations. On Fridays many businesses and shops are shut because it is a rest day. A simple meal is around 30 AED in Dubai because it is much more expensive than in India.
Airport transfer: the red line and green line both run between 6 am to 11 pm from Saturday to Thursday and 1 pm until midnight on Fridays. Prices are dependent on zones and range from around 4 AED to approximately 8.50 AED. The red line stops every 10 minutes at airport terminals 1 and 3 and the green line stops at the airport free zone close to terminal 2. Buses run from 6 am to 10 pm and stop at all airport terminals. Public transportation is relatively cheap. A single ticket on the metro or bus is about 4 AED. It is 50% cheaper if you get a red ticket. A red ticket is cheap and convenient for visitors. It offers a maximum of 10 trips and is valid for 90 days. Taxi prices are much higher than public transportation. Cheap accommodation is in the form of hostels and cost about 100 AED a night for a dorm style room. Hotel rooms begin at approximately 800 AED. Remember to book early from September to May as this is peak tourist season. There are several different options available to make this city more affordable during your stay.
