Airport arrival, accommodation and transport

Getting to Bangkok with the Airport Link Express (direct train) costs around 100 Thai baht, change here or take a taxi. Airport Link City Line, with stops, takes longer, however it's slightly cheaper.

You will find accommodation in the city from around 360 Thai baht upwards. Popular locations for hotels are Chinatown, Sukhumvit Road area and the Khao-San-Road area.

Travelling by public transport using the buses is cheap but difficult to understand. The Metro is also cheap while taxis are popular, quick and affordable. Tuk tuks (rickshaws) are fun, but often tourist traps and quite expensive compared to other modes of transport.
