Diwali is celebrated in October and November, while other occasions observed include Shivaji Jayanti and Khultabad Urs in May and Ganesh Chaturthi, in August and September. Another major celebration marks Eid al-Fitr, marking the end of Ramadan, which takes place on varying dates.

The only options for transfer from airport to the city are to travel by auto or taxi.
