Trams sell single tickets and the most expensive means of transport is taxis, costing around €15 to €20 for a 10-minute journey. 

Accommodation is also fairly expensive in Amsterdam, as the hostels cost around €20 for those who are sharing. Hotels go for around €45 per person sharing and get more expensive closer to the inner city.
