When travelling around the city, the minimum fare for taxis and autos is approximately Rs. 8 for 2 km, with another Rs. 8 for every additional km travelled. However, it is advisable to negotiate fares in advance. The operator of local buses is MSRTC. Most budget hotels are in the central area of Aurangabad or near the station, while hotels offering more luxurious accommodation are near the airport. Pricings could be around Rs. 3,500. at the luxury end, Rs. 2,000 for a mid-priced hotel or Rs. 700 for a night in a cheap hotel.
