The best time to visit Brussels is between May and September. The weather is the warmest at this time enabling visitors to enjoy fully what the city has on offer. In May, indulge in art at its finest by attending the "Fete de l'Iris" which is held on the streets of the city and involves sparkling exhibitions of street art, live music and delicious food. In July, check out the colourful folklore festival known as the "Ommegang Medieval Pageant Festival". At the end of August and beginning of September, there is the annual athletics event "Memorial Van Damme" which is part of the IAAF Diamond League events.

Visitors from India need Visas to enter Belgium so make an appointment online for the Visa. Overall, the cost of living and the prices are higher in Belgium than in India, but Brussels is quite an affordable destination compared to other European capitals. Food is affordable, and you can eat out for about 6EUR or have a decent meal in a restaurant for about 13EUR. Taste traditional Brussels food like waffles starting from 1.5EUR to 3EUR or moules frites for starting from 2EUR to 3EUR. The Euro is the most accepted form of currency.
Local information: arrival, transport and accommodation
From the airport, visitors have several options for getting to the Brussels City Centre. The fastest option is by train which takes around 15 to 20 minutes and charges approximately 8.50 EUR for the trip. The bus shuttle "Airport Line" operated by STIB/MIVB (Line 12 or 21) costs approximately 6 EUR when paid in the bus and approximately 4.50 EUR when paid for in advance. The ride takes around 30 min. Taxis are more convenient, but they charge the highest, starting from 35 EUR to 45 EUR and ride takes about 40 min. Brussels is quite easy to walk around on foot. Accommodation in Brussels is available in the form of luxury hotels, star rated hotels, hostels and apartments. You can book a place online or on the spot after arriving, but you will pay a higher price in the latter case.
